Lions Clubs International is a very large international organization with a wide array of learner audiences.  The youth initiative of the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) is to grow and strengthen the Lions Quest programs.  Lions Quest programs are school-based, comprehensive, positive youth development and prevention programs that unite the home, school and community, to cultivate capable and healthy young people of strong character, through life skills, character education, SEL, civic values, drug prevention, and service-learning education.

 

The link between Lions and local schools in communities is an essential foundation to the Lions Quest programs.  In order for Lions to effectively guide schools to consider and implement these programs they must have a strong understanding of the programs themselves. 

 

As a first step in Lions Quest mission to leverage their programs using technology they partnered with us to provide Lions worldwide with online trainings educating and guiding them in the premise and steps to implementation of the Lions Quest programs.  The primary audience for this online learning solution is Lions, many of whom are not comfortable with computer technology, or may be located internationally in areas where access to good technology is low.  The solution had to be education-oriented and extremely intuitive to use and navigate.  It also had to be accessible to someone with limited software, hardware and bandwidth.  LCIF provides this training to Lions free of charge.

 

Currently Lions Quest is partnered with SIM to provide ongoing technology and online learning solutions.  The organization is committed to making their curriculum accessible to educators worldwide and is working with SIM to transform its materials for online use.
